Congratulations Samarth Mathur and Yuan Ren

The Department of Biological Sciences is pleased to announce the winners of the Yeunkyung Woo Achieve Excellence Travel Award for the Fall 2017 competition. 

 Samarth Mathur (PhD Candidate, Dr. DeWoody Lab) is working on genomics and landscape ecology studies for the conservation of Montezuma quail in the southwestern United States. He will be giving a seminar on his dissertation research at Welder Wildlife Foundation Biennial Student Symposium in Sinton, Texas.

 Yuan Ren (Dr. Daniel Suter’s Lab) will be attending the 2017 joint meeting of the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) and European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) in Philadelphia, PA. in December.
