Professor Wen Jiang selected as a 2016 Showalter Faculty Scholar

08-15-2016

Wen Jaing

Congratulations are in order for Dr. Wen Jiang as he was selected as a 2016 Showalter Faculty Scholar. A subset of the University Faculty Scholars is selected to hold the title of Showalter Faculty Scholar for the duration of their faculty scholar appointment. The Showalter title reflects support for the Purdue University Faculty Scholars program from the Ralph W. and Grace M. Showalter Trust. Since all Showalter Faculty Scholars are University Faculty Scholars, the terms of the appointment are identical for both University Faculty Scholars and Showalter Faculty Scholars. The only difference is the title held by Showalter Faculty Scholars, which represents an official recognition of their expertise and excellence specifically in life sciences.

Professor Jiang is a member of the Structural, Biophysical, and Computational Biology research area and is the Director of the Purdue Cryo-EM Facility as well.
