Liyun Zhang wins award

Liyun who was one of eighteen from fifty applicants award $40,000 in research funds from the Knights Templar Foundation. Liyun Zhang is a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Fai Leung researching eye disease in Zebrafish in anticipation of having a better understanding of abnormal processes that lead to human eye disease.

The Knights Templar Foundation, a charitable foundation founded in 1956 to aid those who need help in the preservation of sight, has presented Fai Leung's group with grants to support their research efforts for a second consecutive year.
